Alpha Miami
Joshua holds a background in Neuroscience and English. Before joining Alpha, he worked as an entertainment critic and spent over a decade tutoring high school and college students in rhetoric and composition.
I build allyship with each student, serving as both coach and teammate. We tackle challenges side by side, working hard and supporting each other when it gets tough.

Known for building statewide transition programs and future-ready models, she bridges academics and life skills to ignite student growth. She’s helped districts reimagine what’s possible when strengths—not limits—drive learning.
I’ve sat beside parents who felt unheard—and I’ve been one myself. At Alpha, my work is rooted in relationships. Every student is family, and every parent a true partner in their child’s education.

Caitlin has over a decade of experience supporting neurodivergent learners, with a foundation in Applied Behavior Analysis. Before joining Alpha, she spent nearly four years teaching first grade and has a competitive swimming background.
I believe that knowing every voice, celebrating every risk, and coaching each student to believe fiercely in themselves transforms learning into both their passion and their superpower.

Logan launched a tech startup straight out of college and brings his experience in entrepreneurship, no-code, AI, and automation to help students build future-ready skills.
I'll use my expertise in entrepreneurship, AI, and automation to prepare students for the future. I will empower them to turn ideas into real-world solutions with confidence and creativity.

I build deep connections with students, taking time to understand their passions and goals. I link lessons to what matters most to them, making learning personal and motivating.

I use storytelling and strategy expertise to help students grow with purpose. I mentor students to discover their strengths and apply them in meaningful and impactful ways.

Sunny has a background in music education and a strong commitment to educational innovation. He was drawn to Alpha’s reimagined model that pushes the boundaries of what students and schools can achieve.
I get to know each student’s interests, strengths, and goals to guide them with personalized coaching and feedback. I listen and check-in to ensure every learner feels supported, and ready to excel.

Shannon brings over 20 years of experience in K–12 special education and reading instruction. She has held leadership roles, including director of a learning resource center and dyslexia interventionist. She’s also been a certified scuba diving instructor for 25 years. Raised in Cairo, Egypt for 21 years and now a mother of two, Shannon blends global perspective with deep educational expertise to support diverse learners.
I believe in the vast abilities of young people and cheer for their journey of self-empowerment, self-awareness, and self-advocacy. By getting to know each child's strengths and opportunities for growth, I bring my listening, guidance, and compassion to support their learning and personal potential.

We explored many spaces across Miami, and this one stood out. It offered the right blend of flexibility, safety, design potential, and proximity to key hubs like University of Miami, Coral Gables, and the Palmetto Expressway that offers easy access from all Miami neighborhoods.
Every school day includes 60–90 minutes of outdoor play, weather permitting. Students often explore nearby green spaces like Tropical Park or enjoy movement games and biking in our own outdoor areas. Our Miami location also takes advantage of proximity to destinations like the Miami Zoo, stables in South Miami’s Horse Country, Olympic-size pools at nearby Miami Dade College, Marine Lab, and more! Fresh air and sunshine are built into our day!
Each Alpha student follows a customized learning path built with adaptive apps that adjust in real time to their progress. Our Miami students are mastering core subjects at their own pace—with no gaps, no burnout, and no unnecessary review.
Outside of academics, Guides work 1:1 with students to set goals and choose workshops—from marine science to digital storytelling—based on interests. Whether a student lives in Fontainebleau or South Miami Heights, they’re on a path that fits them perfectly.
Yes, Alpha Miami is open and enrolling for K–10. Since we launched in Fall 2024, we’ve been actively growing. So, if you’d like to tour the campus or connect with a current family, we’d love to show you around.
The daily schedule at Alpha runs from 8:15 AM to 4:00 PM. Students arrive for morning drop-off at 8:15–8:30 AM, and the day finishes with afternoon pick-up between 3:30–4:00 PM.
