Dr. Tasha Arnold

Dr. Tasha Arnold | Head of Schools

Dr. Tasha Arnold is a dynamic educational leader with extensive experience in American and international schools across the US, Europe, and Asia. She has spent her career transforming schools, implementing innovative learning models, and fostering personalized educational experiences that empower students to reach their highest potential. She has taught at the Elementary, Middle, and High School levels, specializing in IB/AP Sciences and Learning Support across various curriculums (USA, UK, IB, and AP).

I joined Alpha because I believe in redefining education. Personalization, hands-on learning, and skill development are the pillars of a truly impactful education. Alpha’s approach aligns with my vision of ensuring every child thrives academically, socially, and emotionally in a way that is uniquely suited to them.

Derek Rinks | Associate Dean of Parents

Derek brings 17 years of innovative teaching experience to Alpha Denver. He created an Honors Astrophysics course that launched students toward top engineering schools and coached young minds at Synthesis School through gamified challenges that sparked curiosity. As a certified sailing captain, he sailed his family across oceans, learning resilience and problem-solving skills he now instills in students. At Alpha, he fosters joy in learning, academic excellence, and life skills, guiding kids beyond their comfort zones toward extraordinary futures.

Amy Fortier | Reading Specialist · Learning Lab, Level 1

Amy was born and raised in Texas and earned a Marketing degree from Texas A&M University. After beginning her career in retail, she discovered her passion for education. For the past 17 years, she has taught primarily in special education, helping students build confidence, develop new skills, and achieve their goals. She also founded Academics with Amy to provide personalized academic support. Amy is excited to partner with Alpha Denver families and help every child grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.

Bryan Gordon | Head Guide

Bryan is proud to be part of the founding Alpha Denver team. Before joining Alpha, he spent nearly twenty years as a strength and performance coach, helping people of all ages push their limits through focused, mindset-driven training. His work evolved from the gym to the classroom at Alpha School, where he led hands-on workshops in teamwork, leadership, and financial literacy, including the student-run Lil Dippers Food Truck. At Alpha Denver, he creates learning experiences that combine grit, creativity, and adventure so students can take ownership of their growth.

Sarai Williams | Guide · Learning Lab, Level 1

Sarai has spent twelve years in youth-focused roles including foster care, teaching, ACT and SAT preparation, enrichment instruction, and long-term K–12 academic coaching. She has supported students in classrooms, small groups, and one-on-one settings as they build executive functioning, emotional regulation, and academic skills. She also coached adults through behavior change and personal accountability. Combining her psychology background with education and coaching experience, Sarai helps students develop systems that make learning manageable, self-directed, and relevant to daily life.

Katie Boye | Lead Guide

Katie is from Ohio and earned her education degrees from Ohio University. She taught in Los Angeles for six years before moving to Colorado. Her experience includes teaching middle school math and science and serving as a high school administrator. During her first year with Alpha, she traveled to campuses across the country to support Guide teams and Alpha Test trips. She is excited to return home to Colorado to help open Alpha Denver.

Maddie Fitzgerald | Guide · Middle School

Originally from Wisconsin, Maddie moved from Orlando to join the Alpha Denver team. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science and is pursuing her master’s degree. Before Alpha, she spent four years teaching anatomy and biology while leading her school’s leadership and business program. Her earlier work in healthcare, emergency services, fire rescue, and pediatric mental health shaped her belief in resilience, leadership, and helping others reach their full potential. She helps Alpha Denver students build confidence, embrace challenges, and discover what they can accomplish.

Jack Carlson | Director of Admissions

A Bellevue, WA native and University of Arizona finance graduate, I’ve coached baseball, mentored campers, and led a global missions team in Asia, where I met my wife, Izzy. My work at Unbridled Wealth taught me to challenge convention and pursue better outcomes for clients, a mindset that drew me to Alpha. As a father of three, I’m passionate about helping this generation of kids flourish in today’s world and partnering with families in their education journey.
