In traditional school you're a lot more used to having a super structured day, but at Alpha obviously you learn how to make your own schedule and you do things through your own initiative. And you really have to do a much better job at managing your time individually. I've seen a lot of students struggle to manage deadlines and their workload, but I've had a really easy time doing that. And so college just felt like an extension of what I had already been doing at Alpha, which was being able to take ownership over your own education. To manage my time, manage my projects and my workload independently. And that's just something that I think I've done a lot better due to Alpha's ethos. Really just build that independence. And so, you know, when I'm at a lecture at Stanford and the professor, you know, maybe speaks too fast or the textbook is just so dense, I know that I can figure out the answers and learn the content on my own. So the number one mindset I got from Alpha was the limitless mindset. I came into college with a really strong sense of self, a lot of determination and belief in yourself that you can go and you can achieve these things if you put your mind to it. Being at art school, one of the most valuable skills and mindsets that I received from going to Alpha is growing from feedback and not fearing it. Feedback is a massively valuable thing and is standard practice at Alpha. I got feedback from my professor and we were going through it and really just constantly asking how I can, you know, make the essay the best it could be. I was taking a seminar class and I submitted what I thought was very strong. My professor gave me a 95, but I just wasn't very happy with that. I really wanted to receive 100. She was a little apprehensive to give me feedback and allow me to resubmit because she thought my grade was already so high, but I had to explain to her that I really wanted to do the best that I absolutely could and receive as much feedback I could so that I could grow. So she gave me feedback, I implemented it, resubmitted it, and got a 100. So far, college has been going really great because of my experience and time at Alpha. I'm so excited to see how Alpha is going to continue to influence my current learning journey at UATX. And without Alpha, I 100% would have not gotten into Stanford. So I will always, always be grateful for that.
