What do Alpha School parents say about personalized learning and student success in San Francisco?

Hi, my name is Arnold, and we have two children at Alpha School. It's literally 30 days tomorrow was the time that we saw Mackenzie on camera talking about Alpha. It started out with us being at a Tony Robbins event. On the last day, she was one of the speakers, and we were super excited to hear what she had to say. We were definitely impressed, so much to the fact that Monday morning came around and we just hit the pavement, and we were looking, Alpha School, California, Alpha School, San Francisco, wherever, where is it? We knew that San Francisco was started, but we weren't sure about Aiden, who is our son, who is a junior. And so we were a little nervous about that, the idea that, you know, maybe Aiden will go here, and she'll go there, and it just didn't really work for us. And then they were open to doing a shadow day. I think early on, once we started learning about Alpha and how it's structured, you can only, you know, as an adult, reflect on your own education. You realize that traditional education has a big fallacy, in that it's like a foundation of bricks, and if you're missing one or two bricks here and there, yeah, it'll stand on its own for a while, but eventually it's going to give way. And we quickly found out that as bright and as great, wise, they were straight A's in their traditional school, they were missing certain fundamental things. And when you look at the platform in which Alpha School provides with the AI learning, it really takes that away. It doesn't allow for any of these pitfalls, these little missing bricks in a foundation. That in itself is very reassuring, that they'll succeed. We don't worry about them academically, but over the years, especially with Ayla, we've noticed that there are many occasions where she'll come home and just, she had these frustrations with school. It kind of took the wind out of her sails, because at the end of the day, they're just all these distractions that are just unnecessary. Now, she took it a little differently, because, you know, we looked at Alpha School and we decided and we talked about it, and we said, well, it's a really small campus right now, and she definitely had concerns. But the concerns were more, not so much the academic part, but it was more the social environment and how it would be so different, and, you know, we had to kind of remind her about the frustrations that she had at the school that she was at at that time. And once she did a shadow day, slowly but surely, she got it, and I think it clicked for her. Aidan is very stoic and very conservative in his ways. We have noticed, as he's gotten into high school, that his light has been kind of dimmed, if you will, just kind of going into a shell a little bit. And he has, you know, so many activities he likes to do outside of school, but school wasn't there to support that. So once he heard about this idea, his eyes just lit up. So he's been into aviation, and he got so excited to learn that he could not only do his academics, but then actually have enough time to pursue something. I mean, he's only been there two-plus weeks, and he has already decided that he's going to keep following his dream, and he's going to build an airplane. You know, as a parent that wants to give your children the best of the best so they can succeed and find something they're passionate about, seeing the confidence, you can see it, you can feel it. It was tangible. Their confidence level just went from here to here all in a matter of weeks, and you know that we definitely did the right thing.
