Before Emily had even woken up, I had gone onto the website and I had filled out the application. Because this came up so quickly, we were also really nervous to tell Lola. We live in a really tight-knit community in Lower Manhattan. We were really worried that Lola would not want to leave this community. And we actually used the videos on the Alpha website. And every day we played her videos. It kind of melted the ice. So with each one of those videos, I'd say she became more and more curious about it. Until she felt ready. We did our shadow day, which she had pretty much decided by lunchtime that this was the place for her. And she was very excited and nervous to tell her friends, but really excited at the opportunity of coming here. Before she would come home from school, you would ask her how her day was. You would hear about choice time and recess with friends, but it didn't go beyond that. Coming home from Alpha every day, it's just like there's something new and something exciting to tell us. And she's excited to talk about it. We're all excited to hear how her day went. It's added excitement to our family.
