In the last 30 days we have seen his curiosity shoot through the roof, his eagerness to learn about the world around him blossomed. I've seen such an improvement in just a month. Self-motivation, grit. In the last 30 days we've seen his confidence grow. He's only been there two plus weeks and he is already following his dream and he's gonna build an airplane. The biggest changes I've noticed is his mindset. It's crazy to see him just pick up a microphone and speak to a group of people like it's nothing. I've really noticed a change in the vocabulary she uses towards a growth mindset. The first two weeks after he got there we noticed he was speaking better, he was engaged better. There's something about the motivation mechanism, it's driving her to accomplish things. There's a grit there that I've started to notice in her that just empowers these kids to soar. Just watching in the last few weeks, instead of saying I can't do this, I can't do this yet. It's the environment that pushes him. She's encountering challenge but then she comes back with more motivation to overcome that challenge. He's not afraid to do things and fail. Instead of getting discouraged at each setback, he's seeing them as opportunities. Christy came home one day, Liam was looking at the refrigerator and sounding out letters and she goes, can you read? Last week he started reading. It's only been seven weeks, like where did you learn phonics? And he's like, oh no I'm learning fast phonics. It's just this great opportunity to have like another family. I'm a single parent and so it's really hard to raise a kid. I think it takes a village. The guides have built trust, he's thriving. Now I'm seeing the growth and I'm seeing the creativity. I really feel like a weight is off my shoulders. And just every day, mommy is it time to go to school? Is it time to go to school? And there's no better feeling for me as a parent.
