Dr. Tasha Arnold is a dynamic educational leader with extensive experience in American and international schools across the US, Europe, and Asia. She has spent her career transforming schools, implementing innovative learning models, and fostering personalized educational experiences that empower students to reach their highest potential. She has taught at the Elementary, Middle, and High School levels, specializing in IB/AP Sciences and Learning Support across various curriculums (USA, UK, IB, and AP).
I joined Alpha because I believe in redefining education. Personalization, hands-on learning, and skill development are the pillars of a truly impactful education. Alpha’s approach aligns with my vision of ensuring every child thrives academically, socially, and emotionally in a way that is uniquely suited to them.
Jess Bauer is a relationship builder and committed advocate for families at Alpha School. With over fifteen years of experience in international development, nonprofit leadership, and educational projects she brings an ability to build trust and help families feel connected. Jess is passionate about integrating parents into Alpha’s mission — ensuring every family feels equipped, inspired, and genuinely partnered in their child’s journey.

Courtney brings over 22 years of educational experience as a classroom teacher, team leader, school administrator, and education consultant, working with students in K-16 settings across a breadth of private and public schools. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia, a Master of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Master of Arts from Brooklyn College.

Victoria holds degrees in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, and Learning Design & Tech. She’s a child development mastermind with an extraordinary gift for unlocking each child’s hidden potential and has a proven track record of transforming struggling students into confident, capable learners while mentoring the whole-child. With 17+ years in education, Katie Pond brings experience as a Reading Specialist, curriculum designer, and educator. She holds an M.Ed. from the University of Virginia and specializes in Science of Reading practices. Katie is passionate about helping students build confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.

Nicole brings more than two decades of experience in education, special education, family engagement, and multi-site leadership to her role as Director of Admissions at Alpha School. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about creating educational experiences that recognize each child as an individual and helping families find environments where their children can truly thrive.
With a master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education and experience leading schools and programs across the DC metropolitan area, Nicole has spent her career partnering with families, developing educators, and advocating for children with diverse learning needs. She believes some of the most important work in education begins with listening—understanding who a child is, what excites them, where they may need support, and what their family hopes for their future.
At Alpha, Nicole loves introducing families to a different way of thinking about school and helping them imagine what becomes possible when students have more time to discover their interests, develop confidence, and build the skills they’ll carry far beyond the classroom.

We chose our Chantilly campus for its welcoming, family-focused environment, thoughtful design potential, and strong sense of safety. Every school day includes 60–90 minutes of outdoor play, weather permitting. Students enjoy our campus’s secure outdoor learning areas, playgrounds, and movement games, including biking and active exploration. The daily schedule at Alpha runs from 8:15 AM to 4:00 PM. Students arrive for morning drop-off at 8:15–8:30 AM, and the day finishes with afternoon pick-up between 3:30–4:00 PM.
